Welcome to Intentional Designer

Jaan Ferree is a designer with 30 years experience as a buyer, shop owner, and consultant. Her intention is to get at the feel of what you're about as a person and to bring that essence into the daily theater of your life.

Feng Shui & Interior Design

Jaan FerreeJaan is a graduate of Essential Feng Shui©, where she studied with Terah Kathryn Collins, a leading Feng Shui teacher and best-selling author of The Western Guide to Feng Shui. Essential Feng Shui© is a school that fully honors the essence of the eastern Form School of Feng Shui heritage while focusing on the practical applications it has in our Western Culture. She has also studied with several international Feng Shui practitioners including Grand Master Thomas Lin Yun from China.

Green Interior Design

wncgbc.jpgFerree is also deeply interested in incorporating green building and sustainable practices into her interior design. Ferree is a member of the Green Building Council in Asheville, North Carolina, where she has taken seminars on the Healthy Built Home.

Sacred Space, Retreats, Meditation Gardens, Labyrinths/Prayer Walks

Ferree has also done numerous commercial and residential designs for interior and exterior spaces where sacred intentions energize a space for public or private use. Her installations of outdoor labyrinths also include Valle Crucis Conference Center in Valle Crucis, NC and Carpe Diem Farms in Highlands, North Carolina. Ferree has experience in consulting on designs and applications of meditation gardens, labyrinths, and sacred spaces. She is currently working with Mission Hospitals, Inc. in Asheville, NC on the redesign project of their two chapels. The chapel on the St Joseph's campus will include an indoor labyrinth (prayer walk).


Intentional Design has helped individuals and businesses to improve the ambiance of their interior environments, clarify their interior design goals, improve productivity and creativity, and welcome new opportunities for success.
