In addition to designing two labyrinths at Valle Crucis Conference Center, Jaan Ferree has also designed meditation gardens. The intention behind these private spaces is to give people a reason slow down and take time for thought and contemplation. To surround oneself with natural beauty and color can add a new dimension to the day.

Jaan takes pleasure in creating private areas for reflection in the context of public space. Public installations of meditation gardens are designed to be in sync with the natural world and the organization's mission.
